The four died during a shoot out at a demonstration by residents to oppose the relocation of the District capital from Foase to Twedie.

Several others sustained varied degrees of injuries in the clash on Wednesday February 7, 2018, after the angry residents locked up the District Chief Executive of Atwima Kwawoma District Hon Okyere Tawiah over relocation of District capital from Foase to Twedie.

The clash occurred after the police Officers who were deployed to the area to maintain law and order decided to free the locked DCE.

Meanwhile, a three-member committee constituted to investigate the Foase shooting incident is yet to release a report on the incident.
