The Agogo State College has been disqualified from the National Science and Maths Quiz 2019 after it fielded an unqualified contestant in their contest which featured Tweneboah Kodua SHS, Wesley SHS, Konongo and Gyaama Pensan SHTS.
In view of this the Ghana Education Service(GES) has directed that Agogo State College be disqualified from participating in this year’s competition.
Tweneboah Kodua SHS, which placed second in that contest, will take their place.
A statement issued by Primetime Ltd, the organizers of the competition said it has “over the past 26 years maintained a very high standard of fairness and integrity in the conduct of the National Science and Maths Quiz.
“We shall, therefore, continue to create a level playing field for all participating schools and ensure that each participant of the NSMQ upholds the tenets of fairness, fair play, and integrity in their conduct at all times,” the statement added.
