Officers of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service have interrogated maverick politician and MP for Assin Central, Ken Agyapong over the death of investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein.
“We went to Ken Agyapong and have questioned him over the killing of the journalist, and not that he was invited or arrested. We had from him information that we think will facilitate our investigation into the circumstances leading to the murder of Ahmed Hussein,” Director General, Public Affairs Unit of the Police Service, ACP David Eklu to Naagyeionline.com.
Some suspect that Ken Agyapong could have a hand in the killing of the 31 year old investigative Journalist who is a member of ace undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye PI firm, after he (Ken) displayed Ahmed Hussein’s picture on live TV in his ‘who watches the watchman’ anti-Anas video documentary.
He called on the public to deal ruthlessly with Ahmed Hussein whenever they come into contact with him, and promised monetary reward for the perpetrators.
Ahmed Husein was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck by gunmen on motorbike in Madina, Accra while driving home.
Some eye witnesses say they saw the unidentified assailants lurking around the neighborhood on a motorbike hours before he was killed.
