The Ashanti Regional Director of the National Service Secretariat (NSS), Alex Opoku-Mensah has unreservedly apologized for insulting a nurse at the Manhyia Government Hospital.
The Nurse is said to have corrected his daughter’s wrongful prescription for a two-year-old convulsion patient.
Mr Opoku-Mensah in a Facebook post said it has never been his style to verbally assault people as he did to the medical staff.
He claimed he decided to mediate the issue between his daughter and the nurse because he considered the latter as his daughter as well.

The Ashanti Regional National Service Director, Alex Opoku-Mensah has attacked a nurse at post at the Manhyia Government Hospital in Kumasi.
The attack was reportedly in response to the alleged intimidation of his daughter who is undergoing her medical housemanship by the said nurse.
His daughter who happened to be in the same hospital had reported to him about the nurse who she accused of intimidating her at the health facility.
In an audio recording, the angry NSS director is heard raining insults on the nurse describing the nurse who questioned his daughter as an unqualified nurse who gained admission into nursing training school through sexual favours.
