A 38 year old man Kenneth Arhin, has been stabbed to death by his friend Kweku Anu at Gomoa Kweikrom in the Central Region during a misunderstanding after the latter’s cat chewed fried fish belonging to the deceased.
The Unit Commitee Secretary Daniel Kofi Agyeman revealed that, the suspect’s cat went to the room of the deceased and chewed his fried fish following which he confronted the suspect to demand money [cost of the chewed fish].
A heated argument ensued between them leading to scuffle. Before people could seperate them, the suspect reached for an iron rod and stabbed the deceased killing him instantly.
Members of the Unit Commitee subsequently arrested the suspect and handed him over to Ojobi District Police Command for prosecution.
The body of the deceased has been conveyed to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for preservation awaiting autopsy.
