Court grants Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy GHC50,000 bail each

Dancehall artistes Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale and Livingstone Etse Satekla aka Stonebwoy have been granted GHC50,000 bail each with one surety to be justified each by the Adjabeng District Court.

The two were involved in a brawl during the 20th Ghana Music Awards event held over the weekend in Accra.

They have been charged with Offensive Conduct Conducive to Breaches of the Peace contrary to section 207(1) of the Criminal and Offenses Act, 1960(ACT 29).

Stonebwoy was in addition charged with the display of weapon in a public place without permission contrary to Section 7(1) and 26(1)(a) of the Arms and Ammunition ACT-1972(NRCD.9)

The dancehall artistes both pleaded not guilty to the above charges.

Aside from the bail, the two musicians have been advised by the court to be of good behaviour during the pendency of the case before the court.

The case has been adjourned to June 20th, 2019.
