Archbishop Nicholas Duncan William, founder of Action Chapel International has lambasted Christians who are against the building of the National Cathedral.
He claims Christians opposing the building of the controversial National Cathedral are doing so because it’s not their party and ‘their’ President seeking to have the National House of Worship built.
Preaching on Sunday, he said “…You know the people fighting it? Not other religions, but it’s us, Christians. It’s us, Christians fighting it”.
He added: “And some of you are fighting it because it is not your party and your President that is building it so you must oppose it. Some of you love your political parties and are more loyal to your political parties than you are to the bible and the cause of Christ.”
The announcement of the construction of a national Cathedral has been met with mixed reaction with a lot of people complaining that it’s a misplaced priority because times are hard.
The Trades Union Congress (TUC), in a statement also said “We would like to appeal to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to shelve this plan otherwise we will invite all Ghanaians to join us to campaign vehemently against this misplaced priority and to protect the national purse.”
