E-Levy bill finally appears on order paper; House to debate and approve it

The controversial Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy) Bill has finally showed up on the order paper of Parliament, about three months after it was taken off to allow for broader stakeholder engagements.

The report of the Finance Committee tasked which deliberated and made further inputs to the bill, has been laid before the House for consideration today (Tuesday) March 29, 2022.

he chamber of Parliament is fully packed with MPs waiting to cast their votes to either approve or reject the bill.
