Eid Ul-Fitr: “Celebrate with caution” – Akufo-Addo to Muslim youth

President Akufo-Addo has extended his felicitations to all Muslims in the country on the occasion of Eid Ul-Fitr celebrations.

“I wish all Muslims blissful and peaceful Eid Ul-Fitr celebrations,” President Akufo-Addo said in a congratulatory message to Muslims, while admonishing the youth to celebrate with caution.

Eid al-Fitr is an important religious occasion celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.

This religious Eid is the first and only day in the month of Shawwal during which Muslims are not permitted to fast.

Eid al-Fitr 2019 in Ghana begun on the evening of Tuesday, 4 June 2019 and ends in the evening of Wednesday, 5 June.
