Ejura-Sekyedumase: MCE to join revenue collectors to mobilize revenue

The Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji Salisu Bamba together with other senior officers are to join the assembly’s newly formed Revenue Task force on the field to help mobilize revenue.

According to him, he’ll lead the charge in ensuring that enough revenue is raked in to enable the assembly implement its programmes outlined.

Highlighting on the assembly’s performance from the beginning of 2018, while addressing members during the second ordinary meeting of the 6th General Assembly on Wednesday, Hon. Bamba said it was projected that the Assembly would generate an amount of Ghc 1,384,000, but as at November 2018, an amount of Gh 861,273.66 had been realized representing 62.23% Internal Generated Fund (IGF).

Hon Salisu disclosed that, District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), annual estimate for the year, 2018 as approved by the Assembly was Gh 8,089,313.28 out of this budget the projected DACF for 2018 as communicated by the Ministry of Finance was Gh 3,278,180.48.

However, the Assembly has so far received an amount of Gh 488,277.88. As at November, 2018 representing first and second quarter of 2018.

On their expenditure performance this year, 2018, Hon, Bamba noted that it was projected at Gh 8,089,313.28. However as at the end of November, 2018 a total amount of Gh 4,425,482.99 was expended indicating a 54.71% performance.

Hon Salisu concluded that, the assembly performed very well by way of governance due to the cooperation and understanding between the members.
