Ejura: Two sentenced to 5 yrs imprisonment each for supplying narcotics

Two young men Osman Abdallah and Abubakari Munkaila have been sentenced by the Nsuta Circuit Court in the Ashanti Region to 5 years imprisonment each for suppling of narcotics.

The two convicts were arrested in a swoop undertaken by the Ejura Police and were found to be in possession of narcotic substances at the time they were nabbed.

The Judge Mrs. Lydia Osei Marco sentenced them on their own plea to five years in hard labour after they both pleaded guilty.

The convicts have just begun their prison term at the Kumasi Central Prison Kumasi.

Meanwhile, the Ejura Police Crime Officer, ASP Emmanuel Kyei Sarpong in an interview with Naagyei Fm‘s Nana Ofori advised the youth to desist from consuming narcotic drugs and stop engaging in other criminal activities as it could ruin their lives.

He said whoever falls foul of the law will not be spared adding that “anyone who disturbs the police will also be disturbed. And so I advise everyone to remain in his or her lane and not cause any trouble otherwise the law will deal ruthlessly with the offender.”
