Help advance investment & creation of jobs in Western Region – Reg. Minister to MMDCE nominees

The Western Regional Minister, Mr Kwabena Okyere-Darko Mensah, has called on the MMDCE nominees who are yet to be approved by their various assembly members to be more innovative to create jobs for the people and lobby for investment to drive the economic growth of the region.

He says the region is ready for business, and he is looking forward to the new nominees to help champion the agenda to win more foreign direct investments when giving the necessary approval to serve as the District or Municipal Chief Executive.

Hon Kwabena Okyere Darko mentioned that foreign investment can’t be swept under a carpet in socio-economic development, hence, urging investors to take advantage of the region’s conducive business environment and invest in all sectors.

Speaking on New Day FM Morning Show on Monday, September 20, the regional minister mentioned that “Western region should be able to grow quickly, Western region should see a lot of development” this he said, is his vision and agenda for the region.

Mr Okyere Darko has also urged Assemblies to champion the President’s “Ghana Beyond Aid Agenda” to let more foreign investors buy into it.

Meanwhile, the Minister has appealed to party members to accept Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) nominated by President Akufo-Addo especially, Nzema East Municipal.
