Talented beatmaker and musician and now Pastor Morris D’Voice, formerly known as Morris Babyface has disclosed that he entreated Hiplife musician Castro to give his life to Christ and work for Him exactly a week before he went missing.

According to him, Castro told him that he was very much aware of that and that as soon as he was done with a particular album he was recording, he’ll quit doing secular music and do gospel music.

On 6 July 2014, Castro and Miss Janet Bandu were reported to have drowned following a jet ski accident in Ada Estuary while on holiday with the Gyan brothers.

The jet ski involved in the accident was recovered on the same day of their disappearance but their bodies had not been recovered, despite a search by the police. Little is known of his disappearance.

Speaking to host Moses Aluebasi on Ejura based Naagyei FM’s Entertainment Review show, Morris D’Voice who was sad about Castro’s disappearance urged the public to live lives worthy unto the Lord and do whatever good thing they have doing as time waits for no man.

“A week before our brother Castro went missing, he was in my brother’s (Roro) studio recording an album. I called and told him that it was time for us to do the work of God and he laughed and responded that he was very much aware of the need to serve God diligently and that after he’s done with that particular album, he was going to quit secular music and do gospel. And so I told him that I’m sure that is exactly what he said when he was recording that album with Asamoah Gyan.”

He added: “But you know how the devil works? once he knows that you about to have a change of mind, he’ll let your songs be a hit such that you’ll find it difficult to quit doing secular music. Castro then told me that all that I’ve said is true but will quit after that very album, but I again told him that time is not his and that if he has anything doing he should do it now until it’s too late. Unfortunately, just one week after I heard the unfortunate news of Castro going missing at Ada,”Maurice added.
