The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, Thursday, escaped the wrath of Parliament over his unsavory remarks made against the legislature in July 2018.

This follows his unconditional apology he rendered unto to the August House for calling it cheap while responding to an issue on a local radio station.

Speaking on the floor of the House after he was given the opportunity by the Speaker to comment on the report of the Privileges Committee that had found him liable of contempt over his “Parliament is cheap” comments, the Assin Central lawmaker said although he is guilty of making such disparaging comments, he said so in reaction to the first deputy Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) chairman who was on air insulting him as a Member of Parliament.
