IMF team arrives in Ghana today September 26

A team from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is expected to visit Accra from today September 26 – October 7.

The staff led by Stéphane Roudet, Mission Chief for Ghana, is scheduled to continue discussions with the government officials on programmes and reforms that could be supported by an IMF lending arrangement.

The IMF team will also hold discussions with other stakeholders during the visit.

In July, an IMF team visited Ghana for initial discussions with the government.

Ghana is expected to receive $3 billion from the IMF to boost the struggling economy.
