The District Chief Executive of the Krachi West in the Oti Region, Douglas Osei-Nti is unfazed by the attack on his office by some irate members of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) as he prepares to resume work today, Wednesday.
The aggrieved party on Tuesday stormed the District Assembly office and chased out the District Chief Executive and subsequently locked the office and handed over the DCE to the Police.
They accused the DCE of awarding contracts to his cronies and engaging in acts that have made the NPP unpopular in the constituency.
The incensed youth have warned the DCE not to step foot in the office if he cherishes his life and have vowed not to open his office despite pleas by some party officers.
But the embattled DCE Mr. Osei-Nti interview with host Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa FM called the bluff of the angry party supporters, adding that he’ll resume work and conduct his legitimate duties.
“By God’s grace, I’m safe and the police are providing me and my family with the necessary security. I’m getting ready to leave home for the office to carry out my lawful duty.”
