Mahama slams EC boss for claiming 2020 election was the best ever conducted

Former President John Dramani Mahama has disputed claims by Electoral Commission Chairperson, Jean Mensa, that the 2020 General Election was the best election the country has ever had.

According to him, the EC boss failed to give account to the people of Ghana at the Supreme Court concerning what he alleged as the rigging of 2020 elections.

His comments come in the wake of the EC chair during an address during the ECOWAS Parliament meeting, that the 2020 general elections were the best Ghana has ever held.

Former President John Dramani made the remarks when he paid a courtesy call on Nana Nterboah Pra IV, the Divisional Chief of Prestea at his palace as part on his one-day ‘Thank You’ tour to the Western Region.

The Divisional Chief of Prestea Himan in the Prestea Huni Valley Municipality of the Western Region, Nana Nterboah Pra IV, also in an address admonished Members of Parliament to all vote for the passage of the anti-LGBTQI+ bill that is before parliament when they resume from recess.

He told the MP for Prestea Huni-Valley to make his vote against the practice of homosexuality open to erase any doubts by his constituents since it will be a major determinant in election 2024.

The former President Mahama was accompanied by the running mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman, Prof. Joshua Alabi, former Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, Western Regional Chairman of the party, Nana Toku, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, former Energy Minister, Kojo Oppong Fosu, former Local Government and Environment Minister, and other party executives and former Ministers of State including current NDC MPs.
