A 28-year-old man identified as Moro has been shot dead by an armed gang on a section of the Sarikyikura and Ejura stretch in the Ashanti Region.
The incident, according to a police source happened at midnight on Friday, March 12, 2022) when the victim was riding an unregistered motorbike from Sarikyikura towards Ejura.
Upon reaching a section of the road around World Vision, the armed men shot him in the face killing him instantly.
At the scene of the incident, police officers found two motorbikes, a tricycle, and a tractor loaded with timber logs. It is believed the owners may have abandoned them after coming into contact with the robbers.
The body of the deceased was later conveyed to the Ejura Government Hospital for preservation and autopsy.
