A Flagbearer hopeful of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer Professor Joshua Alabi has picked the party’s presidential nomination forms.
His nomination forms were picked on his behalf by former deputy speaker of Parliament Ken Dzirasah on Tuesday at the NDC Headquarters in Accra.
Prof. Alabi had earlier indicated that in spite of the fact that the GHC400,000 filing fee was astronomical, he’ll be able to raise the said amount to enable him to contest in the upcoming presidential primaries of the NDC,
Some of the Presidential aspirants have called for the filing process to be boycotted over the fee which they’ve described as absurd.
Professor Alabi becomes the second aspirant after ex President Mahama to pick the forms as the national executives of the party made it clear the deadline for picking the forms will not be extended beyond Tuesday.
Mr Mahama’s forms were picked for him by some members of the NDC from the Asawase constituency in Ashanti region on Monday.
