Former Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC, Joseph Yamin has denied his involvement in the murder of Wasiu Iddrisu.
The deceased was shot multiple times Monday afternoon at the party regional secretariat following bloody clashes that ensued between two alleged factions.
Another victim, identified as Abdul Rahman, who was also shot by the gun-wielding thugs, is nursing serious wounds at the KATH.
An ongoing meeting between some top party executives was consequently put on hold following the ensuing melee.
Four suspects have been identified by police and are being pursued.
Speaking to newsmen after honouring an invitation by the Ashanti Regional Police, Mr Yamin said he would be exonerated.
He questioned the motive behind some faceless individuals in the party who want to tarnish his image, adding that such agenda will not hold.
Meanwhile, Police say investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspects.
