The Ashanti Regional Police Command has declared four persons alleged to be members of pro-NDC vigilante group “The Hawks” wanted over the shooting incident at the regional office of the NDC on Monday, 18 February 2019.
In a statement, the Police revealed that the suspects are Warrior, Damous, Migyima and Abu Taliban.
The shooting incident happened during a meeting which was being chaired by the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, at the party’s Ashanti regional office in Kumasi Monday.
The general secretary had to run for cover during the melee to avoid being caught in the gun battle between two rival factions in the party.
The meeting was to address some misunderstanding between the regional chairman of the party Nana Kwasi and a key member Joseph Yamin.
The confusion erupted after both men came along with their vigilante groups who started shoving each other.
