Stop the “Comprehensive Satanic Engagement” in Schools – GPCC to GES

President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso has waded into the controversial Guidelines for the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) being introduced by the Ghana Education Service insisting the Churches will resist it if the GES dares to foist it on pupils.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) will, from next term, introduce sex education into the curriculum of basic schools to equip pupils to know and experience their sexuality.

At age six, Primary One pupils will be introduced to values and societal norms and how to interact with the different sexes and groups.

As the pupils graduate to the upper primary, they will be made to study different modules of sexuality that include relationship, friendship, dating and courtship.

The guideline module for 11-year-olds in Primary Six includes fertility, pregnancy-related issues, childbirth and respecting gender differences.

This is part of the Guidelines for the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) that is expected to integrate gender, human values and sexual and reproductive health rights perspectives into sexuality education in Ghana.

The Executive Director of the National Population Council, one of the promoters of the curriculum, Dr Leticia Adelaide Appiah, said in an interview that the focus of the CSE was to empower children to make the right choices when parents, religious leaders fail to play their roles.

But the GPCC President and some critics alike that perceive a bigger problem with the CSE programme has described the new curriculum as totally unacceptable and asked the GES to withdraw it and rather call for a stakeholders engagement to fine tune it.

“I call this a Comprehensive Satanic Engagement. the LGBT agenda is what has been repackaged, as I know and they should stop it immediately. They should not destroy our Children or Pupils. They should quickly withdraw it, call for engagement and let’s talk and see what is in there, other than that it’s a nonstarter.” Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso told Kasapa FM Monday..

The Popular Man of God who’s incensed about the development told Kasapa Fm, if the GES refuse to heed to this call immediately they’ll demonstrate fiercely against such introduction into the school curriculum.
