President Akufo Addo is set to file his Presidential nominations forms for the 2020 elections today, October 6, 2020 at the Electoral Commission Headquarters in Accra.
He’ll file his nomination at 11:00am.
The Electoral Commission in September opened nominations for Presidential and Parliamentary candidates with the filed out forms expected to be submitted between October 5 and October 9.
The Presidential candidates wishing to contest the upcoming election are required to pay a filing fee of GHC100,000 while Parliamentary candidates are to pay GHC10,000.
Other Presidential candidates including Madam Akua Donkor of the Ghana Freedom Party(GFP) Independent Candidate Jacob Osei Yeboah, and Hassan Ayariga of the All People Congress(APC) are also expected to file their nominations today.
