A/R: Dispatch rider leading Speaker of Parliament’s convoy dies in an accident

The advance convoy of the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin has been involved in an accident in the early hours of today (Friday) at Juaso in the Ashanti Region.

The Ashanti Regional Police MTTD Commander Superintendent Emmanue Adu-Boahen in an interview confirmed the incident that happened around 9am, few meters drive from Juaso Junction.

A vehicle reportedly ran into the convoy leading to the outrider Chief Inspector Kaakyire Abednego’s instant death.

The body of the deceased Police Officer has been transferred from Juaso government hospital to Accra for preservation.

The Speaker’s convoy was heading to Kumasi from Accra. The Speaker intended traveling tomorrow (Saturday).
