A network of properties and questionable financial transactions purportedly connected to embezzled state monies have been discovered as a result of investigations against Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB).
Dr. Dominic Ayine, the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, disclosed that Adu-Boahene embezzled millions of dollars meant for a cyber defence project and used them to invest in Accra and foreign real estate.
He allegedly syphoned money from a government contract using a private company he and his wife ran covertly, building up a sizeable personal fortune over time.
A comprehensive list of homes, financial transactions, and luxury items thought to have been obtained fraudulently has now been assembled by authorities.
