Anas exposé: Adu Boahen reacts after his dismissal

Dismissed Minister of State at the Finance Ministry, Charles Adu Boahen, has denied allegations that he influence peddled and used Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia‘s name to take bribes from potential investors.

President Nana Akufo-Addo on Monday sacked the Minister over Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas latest exposé yet to be premiered.

However, Mr Adu Boahen in a Facebook post stated that he is innocent of the act he is being accused of.

He said there was an attempt to entrap him and others in 2018.

Mr Adu Boahen, has, however, stated he does not want to be a distraction to the government and the Ministry of Finance at this crucial moment and looks forward to a full investigation which he hopes will reveal the crime he has committed.

In Anas latest investigative piece, the embattled Minister is captured asking an investor to pay an appearance fee of $200,000 to enable a meeting between him and the Vice President, Dr Bawumiah.

Mr Adu Boahen also allegedly asked the undercover investor to give Dr Bawumia the assurance of employing some of his relatives to fast-track his investment.
