Asamoah Gyan, a former Ghanaian international, feels that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) should clarify their 24-hour economic agenda because it isn’t something “new.”
Gyan claims that other areas of the nation already implement a comparable program and are pleading with the recently elected government to make improvements.
The proposal was a key component of the NDC’s campaign platform and helped them regain power for the following four years.
In a Thursday, January 2 Instagram live session, Gyan questioned the policy’s actual goals.
“It’s already there. Filling stations, police stations, and hospitals already run around the clock,” he stated.
“If the government says ‘24-hour economy,’ they should focus on improving it. It’s not a new policy.”
Gyan was selected to be a member of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team prior to his decision to leave politics in the run-up to the general elections in 2024.
