The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has announced that a massive clean-up exercise will take place at the various locations within the Metropolis on Saturday 18th December 2021.
The clean-up exercise, which according to the Assembly has become necessary in line with the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuto-Addo’s vision of making Ghana clean, is expected to commence at 6 am and close at 11 am.
The KMA, therefore, served notice to all commercial drivers that no vehicular movement would be allowed at the business district to ensure a smooth and interrupted exercise.
Shop owners are equally directed to close their businesses and partake in the exercise during the period.
The statement which is signed by the Acting Public relations officer of the Metropolis Dofuoh Joseph Junior also called on residents to come out in their numbers to participate in cleaning their surroundings.
