At least 70 killed in gory Kintampo-Techiman road crash

A head-on collision involving two buses on the Kintampo-Techiman road has resulted in the death of scores of about 70 passengers.

The fatal accident happened around 2am on Friday.

Reports say the two buses, one with registration number GT 5694 18 and the other GT 3916 17, each had over 50 passengers on board.

One of the buses caught fire after the head-on collision, resulting in the burning to death of several passengers.

Isahaku, a local journalist at Kintampo told Naagyei FM that officers of the Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Ambulance Service and Police Officers are at the accident scene helping to evacuate both the victims and the dead.
