Bawumia, Mahama, NDC bigwigs attend Rawlings’ 1st Anniv. Remembrance mass

Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia today joined the family of the late President, Jerry John Rawlings, for the remembrance mass of the first anniversary of the passing of the ex-President.

A host of other politicians including the Former President and 2020 Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), John Dramani Mahama, and his running mate Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang also graced the event.

Others bigwigs from the main opposition NDC including the Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and Director of elections of the party, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah were in attendance.

Mr Rawlings’ widow and former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, and children; Dr. Zenator Rawlings (MP for Korle Klottey Constituency), Amina, Yaa Asantewaa and Kimathi Rawlings were seen in all-white apparel in celebration of the one year anniversary of the ex-military leader, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings.

The Remembrance mass was held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral at Adabraka in Accra.

Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings passed away at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Thursday, November 12, 2020 after a short illness.
