The Cape Coast High Court presided over by Her Ladyship Dorinda Smith Arthur has sentenced a 23-year-old notorious drug dealer at Assin Dompim in the Central Region, Kofi Barima Korankye to 19 years imprisonment.
The convict was jailed for 14 years for dealing in drugs and 5 years for the threat of death on his own father.
He was arrested by the Assin Fosu Police Patrol team for peddling narcotic drugs in the Assin Central municipality, particularly Assin Dompim.
According to the police, the convict (Kofi Barima Korankye) is well known for peddling drugs which activity has adversely affected the youth in the area.
Quantities of weed, cocaine, matches and a pair of Scissors were retrieved after he was arrested.
The convict had earlier chased his 72-year-old father, Daniel Korankye with a gun threatening to kill him for hiding his drugs.
