Egypt face off Zimbabwe in AFCON 2019 kick off

Egypt and Zimbabwe will kick off the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) soccer fiesta tonight in the opening match at the Cairo International Stadium.

This year’s tournament, hosted by Egypt has been expanded by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) from the previously 16 countries to 24, in which the Black Stars, the Senior National team would be participating.

For Ghana’s Black Stars their Group F campaign starts on June 25 against Benin before facing defending champions Cameroon on June 29, and Guinea Bissau on July, 02.

The 2019 AFCON runs from today until July 19.
