Election 2020: Tangoba Abayage defeated in Navrongo Central contest

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Navrongo Central, Tangoba Abayage, seems to have thrown in the towel ahead of the Electoral Commission officially declaring the parliamentary results.

The Upper East Regional Minister in a Facebook post said the results collated from the various polling stations in the constituency shows she’s lost the race to her main contender Sampson Chiragia of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Tangoba Abayage beat Mr. Adda in the NPP primaries ahead of the 2020 election to become the Parliamentary candidate.
