Everything you need to know about the special voting on Monday, December 2, 2024

On Monday, December 2, 2024, special voting for the 2024 general election will take place. Voting will begin at 7 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.
Members of the media, election officials, and security agencies assigned to Election Day tasks who applied to the Commission and were placed on the Special Voting List are eligible to vote on a Special Voting Day, which is December 2, 2024.
There are 131,478 voters on the Special Voting List and 328 Special Voting Centres nationwide for the 2024 General Election.

7. Publications implying that voters at any Special Voting Centre cast ballots for a specific candidate should be disregarded on Special Voting Day. To be clear, votes cast on December 2, 2024, Special Voting Day, will not be counted at any of the 328 Special Voting Centres until December 7, 2024, Election Day.

Special Voting Ballot Counting

8. On Election Day, December 7, 2024, special voting ballots will be counted at the Constituency Collation Centre following the polls closing.

9. The results of the Special Voting ballots must be separately recorded on the Presidential and Parliamentary Election Results Collation Forms by the Returning Officer at the Constituency Collation Centre.

10. Before the Constituency results are announced, the results will be combined with the results from every polling station.
