The Ejura/Sekyedumasi Municipality Best Farmer Mr Oduro Brenya Joseph has advised the youth not to shy away from venturing into agriculture as it remains one of the bedrocks of Ghana’s development.
According to the farmer who himself is a youth, he’s never regretted going into farming as it has immensely improved his life and that of other dependants.
The native of Sekyedumase was adjudged the best farmer of the year for the Ejura/Sekyedumasi municipality at this year’s National Farmers Day event held last Friday.
He has been working very hard over the years and owns a 110 acres Cashew farm at Kwayease and also has a maize farm.
Aside from that he’s also supported other farmers to cultivate a maize farm and is also in the rearing of animals including goats and a poultry farm.
Speaking to Naagyei FM News, Oduro Brenya Joseph said he was encouraged to go into farming because of the good policies and measures put in place by the Akufo Addo government and the MCE for Ejura/Sekyedumase, Salisu Bamba to enhance the lives of farmers and agriculture in the country.
