Ghana’s coronavirus active cases have to shot up to 1,156 from 947 in less than a week, the latest update by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) on Sunday, 8 November 2020 indicated.
The rise follows 198 new cases from the laboratories across the country, summing up the total number of confirmed national cases to 49,202.
The death toll has however remained at 320 for the past two weeks.
The total number of recoveries and discharges is 47,726. Two persons are presently on ventilators, 11 have been classified as severe while four remain critical.
The Kotoka International Airport has so far recorded a total of 171 cases out of which 53 have recovered.
