I’ll make TVET free right from second-cycle – Mahama

Former President, John Dramani Mahama has promised to make Technical and Vocational Education (TVET) free across-board should he become the next President after the 2020 elections.

“One of the issues I am planning with our policy team is to make TVET education free…not just from the tertiary level,” but right from the Technical institutes as well, the former President said in a live interaction with Ghanaians on Facebook.

The NDC flagbearer said he’ll prioritize TVET and ensure it absorbs more so it will expand Vocational and Technical education in the country.

Meanwhile, he said the next NDC government under his leadership will invest more in Information Technology and open up opportunities in the sector.

He claimed he’ll undertake a human resource gap analysis of the system and expand the opportunities available to young people.
