Parliament has set up a 9 member Committee to investigate circumstances leading to the revocation of licenses of uniBank and UT bank.
The Committee chaired by first deputy Speaker Joseph Osei-Owusu has 4 members each from each side.
Speaker, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin dismissed concerns raised by the Majority that the house cannot consider the petitions from Dr. Kwabena Duffuor of uniBank and Prince Kofi Amoabeng of UT, stating that the House has jurisdiction to investigate the matter in spite of court cases.
The committee has been tasked to present its report when the House returns from the break in May.
The speaker also revealed more Petitions have been forwarded to him and will attend to them at the appropriate time.
