Joseph Painstil, an international player from Ghana, won his first trophy with the LA Galaxy, an MLS team, after defeating the Seattle Sounders by a slim margin of 1-0.
Before being replaced in the 90th minute, the 26-year-old put on another strong showing, inflicting harm with his speed and cunning.
The Los Angeles-based team won in the 86th minute thanks to a goal by Dejan Joleljic, securing a spot in the MLS Cup final against the NY Red Bulls the following weekend.
After the game, the Ghanaian, who also performs as a musician, joined his colleagues in the dressing room to celebrate the victory by singing and dancing to his most recent hit, “Blessings.”
Imagine winning the Western Conference Cup in your debut MLS season and celebrating with your new released song in the dressing room.
