The administration of President John Mahama has written to Parliament to request approval for ten regional ministers.

The president has previously proposed reducing the number of government ministries from 29 to 23 as part of an administrative reorganisation plan to improve efficiency and streamline government operations.
Ten nominees have been named to lead different areas of Ghana in the most recent document, which also includes a formal request for legislative approval in accordance with constitutional standards.

To guarantee that the required leadership is in place to manage the situation, the President of Bawku today disclosed that nominations are being made for important governmental and security roles.
“We will appoint the BNI Director, the National Security Coordinator, the National Security Adviser, the Minister of Defence, and the Minister of the Interior within this week.
President Mahama promised, “I will charge them to make Bawku one of their number one priorities when these appointments are made.”
As his administration seeks a long-term solution, the President also urged citizens to demonstrate patience and restraint.
