President Nana Akufo-Addo has extended the mandatory wearing of face masks by additional three months.
In effect, the law will run until December, 14 2020.
The Executive Instrument to make the wearing of facemask a law was signed by the President on September 14.
It’s thus against the law for any citizen to be seen in public without facemask, the President stressed.
“The wearing of mask has served us well in the fight against Covid-19, so I urged each and everyone of us to wear our masks and do so correctly anytime we leave our homes.” Nana Akufo-Addo said in his 17 address to the nation on Sunday, 20 September 2020.
Meanwhile, the confirmed active COVID-19 cases in Ghana has dropped to 499, the latest figures from the Ghana Health Service have indicated.

Of that number, 45,081 have recovered and been discharged.
