The Minority in Parliament has walked out of the House as the Majority votes for the controversial E-levy bill to pass the Second reading stage.
The bill is currently at the Consideration stage being considered by the Majority side alone.
The Minority leader Haruna Iddrisu who spoke before his side moved out maintained their opposition to the bill.
The Finance Minister who is in the House has moved for an amendment of the percentage of the bill from 1.75% to 1.50%.
Speaker Alban Bagbin said he was ready for the consideration stage to continue despite the Minority walkout.
The Minority vowed to reject the E-levy whenever it is tabled before the House.
The Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabeyan, Sara Adwoa Safo, has been out of the House some weeks as well as the Ahanta West Member of Parliament, Alexander Kojo-Kum who doubles as the Chieftaincy Minister had also been sick.
