NDC pulls out from Ayawaso by-election

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has withdrawn from the ongoing by-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.

The National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo announced the decision in an interview with Accra-based Peace FM.

The NDC’s move follows the shooting of six persons at the Baweleshie polling centre.

Bloodstains were visibly seen at the polling centre near the candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress.

Some of the injured have reportedly been taken to the Achimota Hospital for treatment.
