No more intimidations during voting – Bryan Acheampong assures

Minister of State at the Interior Ministry, Bryan Acheampong, says Ghana’s security agencies are very much set for the forthcoming December 7 general elections.

Ghana’s elections over the years have recorded cases of intimidation and other criminal activities including the snatching of ballot papers.

However, speaking at a rally at Anyinam in the Eastern Region as part of President Akufo-Addo’s two-day tour of the Region, Mr Acheampong who’s also the MP for Abetifi constituency in the Eastern Region stated that there adequate personnel to protect every Ghanaian to cast their ballot in peace.

“I stand here today to assure you that the government of Ghana has the men to protect you during, before, and after the 2020 elections. We have the men.

“The days of intimidation in Ghana are over. This is a solemn promise I am making to all Ghanaians. We are well prepared for the election, the military is prepared, the Police are ready, the Immigration Service is ready, and the Prisons Service is ready…all the security agencies are prepared to ensure the safety of every Ghanaian. So don’t be afraid when you step out to vote,” Acheampong stated.
