The Board Chairman of Amantin and Kasei Community Bank, Mr. Richard Owusu Afriyie, has reassured Ghanaians that their money is safe with rural banks. Speaking at the bank’s 19th Annual General Meeting held on Saturday, 21st September 2024 at the bank’s head office in Amanten, Mr. Afriyie highlighted the bank’s adoption of innovative technologies, making it a reliable and secure option for customers.
“Rural banks are no longer limited to serving only rural communities,” Mr. Afriyie emphasized. “We have evolved to provide services comparable to commercial banks, ensuring the safety and security of our customers’ funds.”
The meeting, attended by shareholders, focused on the bank’s progress and future plans. Key highlights included:
– Impressive growth with a profit after tax of GH¢1,857,748, representing a 75.98% increase from the previous year.
– Expansion to multiple branches across the Bono East and Ashanti regions, including:

Atebubu
Yeji
Kumasi
Amanten (Head Office)
Branch Manager at Yeji, Mr. Benjamin Ayisi, showcased the bank’s commitment to corporate social responsibility:
“We believe in giving back to our community. Our projects include building an ultramodern dining hall for Amantin SHS, donating computers and chairs to Atebubu Government Hospital, and many more.”
