According to information acquired by OnuaOnline, Theresa Kufuor, the former first lady, has passed away.
According to reports, Mrs. Kufuor ‘nee’ Mensah passed away on Sunday, October 1.
From January 7, 2001, to January 6, 2009, she was Ghana’s First Lady.
She took on the position after Jerry John Rawlings was succeeded as President of the Republic of Ghana by her husband, John Agyekum Kufuor.
In order to aid in the healthy development of children and stop the spread of diseases from mothers to children, Madam Theresa founded the Mother to Child Community Development Foundation while serving as First Lady.
She was 88 years old.
