Speeding vehicle kills UCC Level 100 student

A 19-year-old Level 100 student of the University of Cape Coast(UCC) has been killed by a speeding vehicle at Ayensudo near the UCC Satellite Campus.

Reports say, the deceased, Priscilla Owusu Achia was in the company of her friends to buy some food items when a Sprinter bus which was overtaking another car knocked down the student.

The incident happened on Saturday, 10th April 2021 but she gave up the ghost on Tuesday at about 11:30 am.

The Public Affairs Directorate of the School in a release said the family has been informed and the Saltpond Police is investigating the case.

“The University Management extends its condolences to the bereaved family,” the release said.
