Some daring armed robbers have engaged a police/military team in an exchange of gunfire on the Techiman-Nkoranza road Monday afternoon.
The armed robbers who ran into the nearby bushes upon the arrival of the security officers launched their attack against the latter from their hideout around Bonsu.
The Police/Military team was called in after the robbers seized the road and robbed the passengers of their valuables.
No arrest has been made yet.
Two passengers who earlier resisted the armed robbers were stabbed leaving them with deep wounds.
The attack left over 60 cars parked on the road causing gridlock as they feared to continue with the journey.
A motorbike rider who pumped into the robbers ran into the nearby bushes
for his life leaving behind his motor for the robbers.
An eyewitness who spoke to Naagyei FM in an update on the situation said the police/Military team has combed the area enabling the commuters to proceed with their journey.
