Former host of the popular afternoon show, Asomdwe Nkomo on Accra-based Peace FM, Maa Afia Konadu has died.
She’s said to have died on Wednesday, May 1 in the United States of America after a short ailment.
The veteran broadcaster affectionately called Maa Afia proceeded on retirement in 2015 after working for over a decade with Peace FM.
A trained teacher by profession, Afia Konadu worked with the State Broadcaster the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC). GBC 2 Radio for several years before she joined Peace FM.
She was one of the persons who drew a lot of listeners to the first Akan private owned radio station due to the impact she made with her show, Asodwe Nkomo which addressed social issues.
