We will resist appointment of non-KATH staff as next CEO – Workers

The Staff of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region has indicated that they will vehemently oppose the appointment of any person who is not a permanent staff of the Hospital as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

There are rumours within the referral hospital that the President in consultation with Ashanti Regional Executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) intends to announce the appointment of Prof. Okyere Addai Mensah to replace Dr. Oheneba Owusu Danso the immediate-past CEO who recently retired after 30 years of working in KATH.

A notice posted on parts of the hospital read: “No KATH staff, No CEO; We are capable of managing our own affairs”
